Smudging Rituals

Smudging Rituals

The ancient magic of smudging and cleansing energy to release stagnant energy and make way for purity.

To cleanse or not to cleanse?

Smudging is an ancient ceremonial ritual where you cleanse negative energy to make way for balance and purity. Traditionally it would be done for specific rituals or ceremonies but in the modern world, smudging is a great ritual practice for removing bad vibes and bringing in white light and good vibes!

Smudging is the ancient ceremony of burning revered plants and herbs in order to create a sacred smoke bath. It can be used for welcoming in the new day, cleansing the body, home or workplace from negative energies, for ceremonial occasions and crystals.  You can use Palo Santo or Sage Sticks amongst other Smudging tools....

Palo Santo

Palo Santo is Spanish for "Holy Wood"; The Tree of Life! The wood is cut into tiny sticks used to be burned slowly creating a trail of smoke.

Palo Santo is used for cleansing and removing negative energy and bad vibes. It brings peace and tranquility and can be used for meditation, spiritual awareness,  yoga practice, reiki, crystal healing/ cleansing etc. Shamans have used Palo Santo in ceremonies and rituals for centuries....

Lighting Tips

To light the wood; hold it at a 45 degree angle and allow it to catch on fire before waving it around to allow the smoke to begin its cleansing. Then smudge out in our Abalone dishes or on a ceramic dish or run under water to ensure all embers are out.
